DA Pitch Feedback

The pitches that I was assigned were all completely different from one another; each is looking at various topics and using different platforms and types of media. When writing feedback, I attempted to be encouraging while providing constructive criticism and used these three Digital Artefacts to consider how I could improve my own.

It was hard to give Dayle Feedback, because as far as I could see, she’s already thought of everything. Dayle has planned to write 3 blog posts discussing how the COVID-19 outbreak will affect the careers of freelance writers. Her pitch was very meticulous and gave me a clear understanding of what her action plan is. Comparing her pitch to mine, it made me realise that my own pitch was not as clear and detailed as it could have been.

Jamie’s DA is a Podcast addressing future cultures and the advancement of artificial intelligence. She’s planning to keep the Podcast episodes short and sweet, which I think will help keep her audience’s attention. To promote my DA, I’m considering uploading a condensed version of my blog posts to Tik Tok, and I think that this could be even more successful with Jamie’s DA due to her format. I recommended a blog post to her that further explains how it could work if she’s interested.

Mandy is using her DA to understand the interior design software better that she’ll be using once she enters the workforce. By keeping her DA relatively simple, she’ll be able to focus on learning how the software works with less complication. By posting her content onto two separate subreddits, it could quickly become scattered and confusing to keep track of. I recommended that she consider creating her own subreddit to use, as well as the two she will already be using.
